Listener Q&A:
As compiled, edited and sometimes read by Brock, the Ben Greenfield Fitness Podcast “sidekick”.
Steve says:
I travel a lot and for the past year have been having trouble sleeping in hotel beds. My fiance thinks this is because I am now “old” (I'm 46) but do you think this is more nutritional (my eating habits change/get worse when traveling) or mental? Any recommendations? I've started tracking my sleep with a Jawbone UP band and only get 1 or 2 hrs of deep sleep when on the road compared to around 3 – 4 when at home.
Annette says:
….ship my bike or rent one locally?
Alex says:
Do you have a good blending solution while traveling. It is monumentally harder to intake my normal nutrients without my blender! Thanks! I'm definitely looking forward to the shows. Good luck!

Hi, Ben. I've had good results from astragalus and a mixed mushroom supplement for immune-system boosting. The mushroom supplement I've used is from Paul Stamets, a mushroom pioneer. They have some mushroom-growing kits that look fun, too, that I would try if I had a yard.
Thanks for the recommendation of the "Foundation Training" book.
I have a chronic back problem, which I can manage, but I downloaded the book and already tried some of the exercises.
They really help! Also, they are just what I was looking for since they are dynamic rather than static exercises.
Good stuff!
That's awesome Buddy…I'm glad it's helping you!
