Bryan asks: He recently has been hearing the term glycobiology. He is wondering what your thoughts are on the subject and whether you agree that it is as important as some people are saying to the future of our health?
Is Sitting On A Bike Bad For You?
Jonas asks: He rides a mountain bike to work everyday and is wondering how he should be sitting on it, not necessarily to go the fastest but to ensure he doesn't get injured or create any issues later in life. He doesn't want to wake up 10 years from now and find out that he shouldn't have been “sitting like this”.

Mark asks: He has been reading recently that even BPA free plastic water bottles can be harmful to your health. Do you have any recommendations on what water bottles are safe to use?
Can You Increase Growth Hormone With Fasting?
Johan asks: He has read that the positive effects of fasting (24 hours or more) are quite evident with HGH and “rebooting” your immune system. If you are fasting and training to get the positive effects of testosterone, is that a powerful way to combine health and training? Could this also be helpful for kids to help control IGF1 and thus stop them from entering puberty too early by relying on HGH instead of IGF1?

Thanks for info about BPA & plastics. It was very clear and explained well. I have a few nalgene bottles and plastic storage containers that I have had for a while. Should I throw them out or keep using them? Do the bpa chemicals leach out after a certain amount of time? From here on out I will be purchasing lunchbots & klean kanteen.
I would throw them out. Or at least use them for dry storage only.
I freeze bone broth in glass all the time. You just need to leave room for expansion as it freezes. For a quart jar of broth, I leave at least one inch empty… or more – better safe than sorry ;)
Thanks Ben! I would still like to know what you think of the ZipLock bags. They didn't come up in your super thorough plastic types breakdown. It's a bit awkward to store foods in the freezer in mason jars. Plus it takes a lot of space.
I don't store food in Ziplock bags as a rule, unless occasionally for a short period of time (e.g. protein powder for an airplane ride). You can find used freezers for cheap if you need more space and really want to avoid plastics and use glass. We have two entire freezers full of frozen things in glass.
