After years of success in the health and fitness industry, Ben has returned to his love of fiction. The Forest, the first in his new fantasy series, takes its inspiration from Ben's own twin sons, combined with his deep knowledge of survival, wilderness, adventure, intrigue, health, suspense, and a true hero's journey.

Upon stepping into a dark shed in the middle of the forest, twin brothers River and Terran are transported to a remote prisoner island in the magical world of Arbore — a world crawling with strong magic, hidden snares, and rogue creatures. Using their powers to control the elements of water and earth, the boys must escape the mysterious island inhabitants and discover their way to the mainland. But if they make it off the island, what dangers await on the mainland?

River and Terran face the ultimate test: to save this otherworld — and each other. With the help of the seafarers, elves, warrior princesses, healers, and Magisters they meet along the way, our heroes endure a riveting adventure of harsh wilderness, epic battles, tangled romances, elemental sciences, spiritual encounters and hardcore survival. Like Lord of the Rings and Chronicles of Narnia, New York Times bestselling author Ben G. Greenfield's World Leapers series is sure to entertain fantasy fans of all ages.

Great Adventure with many learning opportunities.

“My wife and daughter enjoy a good story where I'm more of a non-fiction guy. I read the first fifty pages just to see what it was like, but ended up finishing in just a few days. The story was good, but the added background about food and medicinal herbs along the way helped keep my attention. The fact that it held my attention says a lot as this is one of the few fiction books I have finished since college (a very long time ago). As I implied I'm not a fiction expert, but I did really enjoy the book and that's what counts.”

Time for an Adventure

“I read this book at night before bed and it was the perfect way to wind down and get lost in another world! I loved that Ben pulled from his other interests: health, primal living, and survival. The storyline has a similar feel to books like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and the Hunger Games. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good read!”

“A riveting read from beginning to end, I felt like I was transported to a different world alongside River and Terran. I loved that Ben used his knowledge of health, fitness, and plant medicine in the book to make it not only an entertaining novel, but also informative as well. I'm excited to see what comes next for the World Leapers!”

From the Author:

“OK…deep breath. Here we go. It's time for me to venture into “new territory.” And no, this new territory doesn't involve biohacks, supplements, or workouts.

Instead, I've dived into my love of fantasy with my first work of fiction, The Forest.

Part of me is excited to write this message to you, and the other part feels vulnerable and exposed as I officially introduce my passion for writing and very first work of fiction to the world.

I'm grateful to all my readers and to everyone who influenced and helped me get to this moment. In truth, I've actually derived a great deal of inspiration for this book from the questions I've gotten from people like YOU about life, health, fitness, spirituality, and natural living; and because of that, I've woven concepts such as survival, body science, parenting, breathwork, the elements of earth, air, water and fire, and much more into the story.

I wrote this book–the first of a planned series of fantasy fiction books–with the hope that, just like C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia or J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings, I will be able to enchant and inspire the world's children and adults alike with a magical tale of a hero's journey.

After all, it's nice sometimes to take a break from social media, magazines, self-improvement, and health books–and to instead get lost in a fantasy world. (In fact, because of this, reading fiction is actually quite good for the brain and the imagination.)

It warms my heart that adults and children around the world can now lay in bed, gather around the fire, lounge on the couch, sit on the beach and read my new book, and with your help, your orders, and your sharing, the positive message and hero's journey I've woven into The Forest will touch the hearts of as many folks as possible.

Thanks for reading!” — Ben
