Will the chaotic struggles they encounter follow them back into their own world? OK…deep breath. Here we go. It's time for me to venture into “new territory”. And no, it doesn't involve biohacks, supplements, masochistic workouts or enemas.

Instead, my brand new and first work of fiction (a fantasy fiction book called “The Forest”) is officially complete and now available for you to read for absolutely free on an online reading platform called Wattpad.

Part of me is excited to write this quick post to you, and the other part feels vulnerable and exposed as I officially introduce my passion for writing and very first work of fiction to the world.

I’m grateful to all my readers and to everyone who has influenced and helped me get to this moment. In truth, I've actually derived a great deal of inspiration for this book from the questions I've gotten from people like YOU about life and health and fitness, and because of that, I've woven concepts such as survival, body science, parenting, breathwork, the elements of earth, air, water and fire and much more into the story. I wrote this book – the first of a planned series of fantasy fiction books – with the hope that, just like C.S. Lewis's “Chronicles of Narnia” or J.R.R. Tolkien's “Lord Of The Rings”, I will be able to enchant and inspire the world's children and adults alike with a magical tale of a hero's journey.

After all, it's nice sometimes to take a break from social media, magazines, self-improvement and health books, and to instead get lost in a fantasy world (in fact, because of this, reading fiction is actually quite good for the brain and the imagination).

But releasing a book to the world takes a village, so I’m turning to YOU for your help in spreading the word about The Forest. Here are a three quick ways you can help:

1. Check Out The Book

This is the single most important way to help, because when you read my book for free on Wattpad, and especially when you “vote” for a chapter or “leave a comment” on a chapter, it's like sprinkling magical fairy dust on the book so that it rises in the ranks. You can click here to check it out now (and Wattpad works on your computer, phone or e-reader and syncs across all three, making reading books and discovering new books not just free, but also incredibly simple).

2. Share The Book With Your “Community”

We all live in networks of connection and my guess is, there is someone in your community who would enjoy this book right now. After all, I wrote The Forest to be palatable for children and young adults all the way up to anybody else who desires a “Game-Of-Thrones-esque” experience without the extreme violence or nudity. So mention the book on your favorite social media channels, or simply organically in passing to your friends, neighbors and community. Heck, it's a free read that many folks are going to enjoy, and they'll probably thank you for introducing them to a free, robust online reading platform like Wattpad. It's as simple as sharing the link “BenGreenfieldFitness.com/TheForest” with your friends, family, or anyone else you know who is into fiction. When you share, feel free to tag #TheForest and #Wattpad, along with @bengreenfieldfitness on Instagram / @bengreenfield on Twitter.

3. Send Me Your Ideas Or Connections

I welcome all your ideas to improve the book or to help spread the word and get this book published, developmentally edited, and turned into a worldwide viral sensation, a movie, a video game and beyond. If you have any ideas or connections, large or small, simply click here to fill out a super simple form that allows you submit your idea or connection to me.

So that's it!

I truly appreciate any way you can help. And again – there is absolutely nothing to purchase – just my free work of fiction to read, vote on, comment on and share. Like I mentioned, I'm a bit scared and a bit nervous about venturing into the world of fiction but I truly believe that with your help, I can turn the dream of enchanting the world's imaginations into a reality.

With gratitude,

Ben Greenfield

P.S. By the way, I do indeed plan on – if we can get enough “steam” behind this book – to publish The Forest next year as a big, beautiful hardcover format that families and individuals can lay in bed, sit around the fire, lounge on the couch, lay on the beach and read, and with your help, your reads, your comments and your votes, that will happen!
