Ben Greenfield has joined The Quick & Dirty Tips Network at http://www.quickanddirtytips.com to produce a new feature called “The Get-Fit Guy”, which is the latest addition to the network's top ranked iTunes podcasts and free online advice column.
The Quick & Dirty Tips Network, a division of Macmillan Publishers in New York, creates and distributes digital content that offers short, actionable advice designed to help listeners succeed at work and in life. Currently, one of the best known audio podcasts from the network is “The Grammar Girl”. Each advice column featured podcasts read by a host, articles based on the podcast episodes, e-newsletters, audiobooks, and books.
In The Get-Fit Guy, Greenfield presents 5-10 minute audio episodes designed to help individuals learn how to exercise, use gym equipment, create fitness goals, and achieve healthy levels of physical activity. His column also includes a newsletter, exercise videos, and episode articles.
The goal of Get-Fit Guy is to enable people who have ever exercised before to know exactly what to do to get started, but I'm also going to be including more advanced research-based tips for people who are already fit and want to achieve bigger goals, like developing six-pack abs or running a marathon.
The first episodes of The Get-Fit Guy were released on May 8, 2010, and are now available for free at http://quickanddirtytips.com/health-fitness/exercise/. Go check it out, and be sure to leave the new podcast a ranking on iTunes! Or, you can actually subscribe to Get-Fit Guy in iTunes rightnow for free by clicking here!
I'm just starting a new workout routine and I think the podcasts are great.
