I have a confession.
I'm really not very productive, focused, or relaxed unless I can go to a nice, quiet place (like my backyard, shown in the videos below) and do a series of precise stretches, every morning, no matter what.
And I do the same stretches every morning.
When you start your day with a stretch, especially if you can do so in a quiet or serene location, your completely de-stress your body and prepare your mind for productivity.
When you start your day with a stretch, you're also more likely to exercise later in the day.
So here is the exact stretch routine that I do every morning, no matter what. It takes me about 6-8 minutes, and I hold each stretch for 8-10 seconds.
Seem like quite a few stretches to do every morning? If you're pinched for time but just want the one single stretch that will completely prepare your body for lower body exercise, then check it out…I just posted in this week's Body Transformation Club.
Hi Ben , Cant get the videos to play? are they on YouTube ?
Besides that Im going to get into your material.. MANY THANKS David.
It appears all of the videos are working from the actual article, but they are also available on Youtube at Ben Greenfield Fitness.
Some of these ”stretches” actually get your muscles tighter. I recommend you, consumer, to educate yourself a little more before jumping into these type of routines. It may work for Ben, but can be detrimental for others. Check out Foundation Training instead, it will make remarkable changes in your body. Work on your posterior chain before doing anything else, and you will see a tremendous improvement in performance.
detrimental? you’re clueless

A little bit late to the posting here … but how many times do you do each stretch?
Ben, I thought we were supposed to always warm up before stretching. Please comment.
Thanks,
Donna
I actually do 100 jumping jacks, 50 pushups and 50 squats before I begin.
In a row?
