New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!
How To Make Your Own Anti-Aging Yogurt
Discovered in 1997, a gene called “Klotho” circulates throughout your blood, brain, and spine—and it significantly declines with age. Naturally expressing as a long-chain protein, enzyme, and hormone, Klotho was named after the mythological Greek goddess (responsible for spinning the thread of life) by the same name. Klotho performs many biological functions and appears to be the most significant and consequential factor determining human lifespan. It has even been dubbed by modern scientists ‘the Holy Grail’ and ‘the aging suppressor.’
Immortalis Klotho Formula (a naturally formulated proprietary microbial complex engineered by molecular biologists) is a probiotic formula that was developed with the goal of targeting the anti-aging gene Klotho using a novel revolutionary approach based on a combination of microbiome medicine, genetics, and epigenetics. If you heard my episode on fringe biohacks nobody’s heard of, then your ears may have perked up as my guest and I talked about this bacterial formula that stimulates the production of something called “Klotho” protein.
Your body’s circulating levels of soluble Klotho decrease with age and lower Klotho levels are associated with an increased risk of age-related diseases. In addition to helping your body produce more Klotho, this formula—created by Dr. Marco Ruggiero, MD, Ph.D.—actually alters the gravitational pull inside cells, thus changing the time perspective in which they can heal (think 40 hours of healing within a 24-hour time frame). By doing so, the DNA in your cells actually has more “time” when multiplying—so, fewer mutations!! I know this sounds crazy, but do a Pubmed search for “Klotho protein,” and you’ll find some pretty compelling research.
While Klotho proteins have major effects on anti-aging and longevity, they CANNOT simply be taken exogenously, and instead must be combined with a blend of probiotic precursors to have the so-called “immortality” effect. So anyways, after the interview, I got my hands on a bottle of Klotho mixed with probiotics from Immortalis (warning: this stuff ain’t cheap) and learned that the best way to 100x the effects is to ferment it in yogurt using a special recipe. So, naturally, that’s exactly what I did using goat milk that I boiled first then cooled to room temp, olive oil as a medium for the Klotho protein to grow with, two broken-open capsules of the actual Immortalis Klotho, and a cheap-ass yogurt maker. It took me about 10 minutes to whip up, then 12 hours to ferment before moving to my refrigerator where I’m hoping my wife doesn’t eat my entire batch of really, really expensive yogurt.
The olive oil part of this is actually important. The oleic acid in the olive oil binds to the chondroitin sulfate and vitamins in the probiotic formula thanks to the enzymes produced by the microbes during fermentation. In addition, the olive oil creates a natural hydrophobic layer which allows for the proliferation of anaerobic microbes. Not to mention the fact that oleic acid bound to chondroitin sulfate and vitamins, particularly vitamin D, has powerful therapeutic effects.
So if you are A) bored, and B) have money burning a hole in your pocket for expensive anti-aging probiotics, then try it out. Let me know if you do. By the way, the yogurt also tastes amazing and has resulted in some amazing morning poops. So there's that.
Click here to get the Immortalis Klotho Formula if you want to try your own hand at making immortality yogurt (Theoretically, this recipe would work with any probiotic strain, but obviously Klotho protein in the Immortalis formula is the longevity part of this yogurt, so you wouldn't be getting that). ::: Save 15% On My New (Extremely Nutritious) Favorite Nut :::
If the name Darin Olien sounds familiar to you, it's probably because A) You've seen him galavanting around the most remote parts of the world with Zac Efron on Netflix, or B) You've listened to my podcasts with him in which the “Indiana Jones of superfoods” and I discuss—you guessed it—all things superfoods.
Darin has successfully sourced 300+ foods and ingredients from around the world as an exotic superfoods hunter, supplement formulator, and environmental activist. My personal favorite discovery of Darin's are these delicious little nuts called Barukas.
You have to try these nutritional powerhouses for yourself, but if I had to describe them, it would be as a flavorful, mind-blowing combination of a cashew and a peanut. They've even beat out macadamias (which I have always been a total fiend for) as my favorite nut. I've been concocting all sorts of recipes with these nuts—from my Baruka Nut Cheesecake That Will Send Your Tastebuds To Heaven to The Most Addictive Chocolate Nut Butter You’ll Ever Taste! (pictured right).
These nuts are incredibly difficult to source, but the planet-conscious folks at Barukas are managing to do it sustainably by leaving a percentage of the fruits out in the wild to feed the local wildlife. They are also trying to protect and reforest the areas in which they grow.
As you could imagine, supplies are extremely limited, so grab some today while the grabbin's good! You can save 15% on your first order of Barukas Nuts when you use code BGF at checkout.

::: Create Your Very Own Lifebook For FREE :::
Creating my “Lifebook” was the most transformational process I’ve ever embarked upon. I mapped out every category of my life—finances, character, spirituality, physical health, parenting, relationships, my dream life, and beyond.
And now, my friends at Mindvalley are giving away FREE access (for the next week only) to the online version of the exact program I used. It’s normally a $1,250 lifestyle design system, but it is literally free right now because they want to expose this course to a new group of people.
During the systematized process, the same as I did, you will take a deep dive into the 12 dimensions of your life—like having a fit and healthy body, a vibrant and active mind, a fulfilling career, a passionate romance, basically any goal you can think of—and map out a fully personalized vision of holistic success for all of them.
It’s like life-hacking on steroids.

Featured Product: Kion Colostrum
Jam-packed with vitamins, minerals, proteins, and enzymes, Colostrum has been shown to support your immune system, enhance athletic performance and recovery, make your gut impenetrable, enhance the efficacy of your probiotics, increase muscle gain, and much more.*
But, because it is sourced from animals, your colostrum supplement is only as healthy as the animal it came from.
To be sure you're getting the highest quality colostrum out there, look for a supplement that is sourced from grass-fed milk, minimally processed, and comes in a bioactive form.
Kion Colostrum checks all three of these boxes:
- Sourced from grass-fed cows that feed on single-origin natural pastures (also GMO-free, hormone-treatment-free, antibiotic-free, and BSE-free).
- Minimally processed and non-denatured to preserve the active nutrients and maintain the full range of beneficial proteins and peptides.
- Comes in a bioactive powder form. It’s believed that colostrum may be best absorbed through the oral mucosal surface in the mouth. Kion Colostrum is not encapsulated, allowing you to receive the full range of bioactive nutrients.
You can take Kion Colostrum with water, add it to smoothies, or simply dump the powder directly into your mouth and allow it to circulate a few minutes before swallowing. (As an added bonus, Kion Colostrum tastes like rich and creamy mac ‘n cheese!) Speaking of cheese, colostrum is naturally very low in lactose, so I (and others with lactose intolerance) tolerate it just fine.
You can get Kion Colostrum here, and save 10% on your first order when you use code BEN10 at checkout.

The Immortalis company looks like it is out of business. Is there any other company we could go to, or any other way to obtain the supplement from this episode?
