I've “Fall”-en For This New Keto Brick Flavor (& No, It's Not Pumpkin Spice)
This time of year, it seems like Pumpkin Spice is friggin' everywhere. And while I have nothing against pumpkin—in fact, pumpkin puree is a pantry staple in the Greenfield house—it's good to have a little seasonal variation sprinkled in there, don't you think?
That's why I was pretty stoked to get a shipment in of the new Keto Brick flavor that just dropped—Butter Maple Pecan. I think the name speaks for itself.
Keto Bricks are my favorite source of on-the-go nutrition, with each “brick” (yes, they're heavy) packing 1,000 calories, with roughly 90 grams of fat, 30 grams of protein, and 14 grams of total carbs. I bring the bricks with me when I'm hiking or hunting, and if you're an active person who needs massive amounts of keto calories for mountaineering, hiking, hunting, etc. I cannot recommend these enough. They are even shelf-stable *above* room temperature, which is great for long, hot hiking days.
The ingredient profile is clean and packed with nutrition. Here are the ingredients of the Buttered Maple Pecan flavor:
Raw Organic Cacao Butter, Grass-Fed Why Protein (Maple Pecan) (Whey Protein Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Guar Gum, Stevia Leaf Extract), Pecan Butter (Roasted Pecans), Ceylon Cinnamon (Organic Ceylon Cinnamon Powder), Himalayan Sea Salt
I get totally stable energy levels, satiation, and really good gut stability with these things. And every flavor I've tried has been actually really, really tasty. Like…addictively flavorful—despite no allulose, erythritol, or any other potentially gut-bloating sweetener.
Dope Lounging Without The Dope

…I'm a total Luddite with technology.
So, when my Hapbee app did an update recently, and suddenly there were things called “Blends” in there, I asked Hapbee founder Scott Donnell to take a virtual walk with me—via Instagram Live—and give me the scoop.
Now, you may have heard me talk about the Hapbee device on a podcast with Scott back in April (you can listen here). Hapbee uses groundbreaking patented technology that captures the energy of a compound and plays its frequency back to you—giving your body the experience of it without actually processing it.
This device simulates a host of different molecules including but not limited to caffeine, CBD, MDMA, alcohol and nicotine, but without you having to consume said substances. I switch up my frequencies throughout the day depending on whether I'm working, napping, or trying to unwind, and I even put it under my pillow when I sleep. During my walk with Scott, I put on theobromine, which is the feel-good, energizing molecule found in chocolate.
What Scott said on the walk was pretty darn cool. The blends are the next major iteration of Hapbee with each signal, which is 45 seconds to a minute and a half, layered and pulsed to amplify the effects of a single frequency. Scott likens it a playlist with the Hapbee scientists almost being like mixologists. There are 20 blends such as Time to Lounge (for relaxation with CBD + THC) and Email Mastery (productivity with nicotine + theobromine).
And, get this, based on the principles of entrainment, the more you use your Hapbee the better it works. It's seriously so cool to be living in an era like this, where you can take advantage of the benefits of substances without any sort of negative effects (you won't fail your drug test after Time To Lounge, for example) because there's no chemical bind.
I have to say, the only thing I'm kicking myself about is that I didn't invest in this company because I think this technology is going to take the world by storm.
