New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!

The Big Ol' Bag Of Salt I'm Soaking With (Easier Than A Float Tank)

How's your stress level?

As summer winds down, you may feel an increase in stress as schedules change, the days get shorter, and vacations are winding down.

And to add to it, you may have (understandably) already been at a higher stress level after the last several years of pandemic upheaval. In this article, I presented sobering statistics about the state of mental health. And while stress doesn't feel great in your body, what may be even more important to consider is the long-term negative effects of chronic stress, including a weakened immune system, a higher risk of chronic disease, and even reduced longevity. Stress can also lead to mineral imbalances as magnesium in particular gets “burned out” as your body works to combat stressors. A magnesium deficiency lowers your energy level and your emotional regulation, which can then contribute to more stress.

Thankfully, the worst of the pandemic seems to be over, and there are plenty of safe, effective ways to reduce stress. Lately, a favorite stress-reducing practice of mine has been unwinding in a good hot bath at the end of the night, and I recently discovered a new brand of magnesium bath salts that have seriously up-leveled my bathing ritual. It's basically giving me a ton of the benefits of a float tank (especially in my quiet bathroom with the red lights turned on and some soothing music playing and essential oils diffusing).

My friend Max Casa – also a float tank producer – is the guy behind Max Vitality Salts and he looked to alchemy and infoceutical technology to formulate these salts. The result is a bath salt made from the highest-quality magnesium chloride from the world’s purest mine, along with potent co-factors including potassium bicarbonate, which has been proven to help get more magnesium into the cells and the mitochondria, and boron, which helps keep the magnesium in the cells longer, primarily by slowing calcium metabolism. The blend also contains enzymes that neutralize harmful chlorine and flouride in bath water. Finally, in addition to top-quality, high-performing ingredients, Max Vitality salts are infused with heart-opening infoceuticals, and are put through an ancient, ceremonial alchemical process to increase the salt's life force energy and healing potential.

These salts work quickly to restore your mineral balance, helping significantly with energy, recovery, and mood. I like to do a full-body bath, but you can put the salts in a foot soak if you prefer. Pre- or post-workout, the salts will also boost your testosterone levels and enhance your athletic performance.

I arranged for a $10 discount off of your Max Vitality order with this link. You can also (and this is what I do) set up a subscription if you want to avoid running out. Happy soaking!

The Ingredient I Couldn't Get Enough Of Last Week

Last week, I hosted the annual Greenfield popsicle party. My entry again this year featured the mighty Barukas nuts. The Barukas Fudgsicle Popsicle was a hit! (Here's my also-a-hit Barukas popsicle from last year's party.)

If you're not familiar with Barukas yet, they're basically these addictively delicious nuts that also happen to be a nutritional powerhouse. Barukas have 25% fewer fat calories than other nuts, contain all of the essential amino acids, are high in magnesium and other minerals, have more fiber and protein than other nuts, and pack three times the antioxidants!

Now, Barukas nuts in a sweet treat are kind of a no-brainer. But what I also decided to do last week was take my “nutty thinking” to a new level and incorporate Barukas into a pretty unlikely dish – a grain-free, uber-healthy shrimp and grits recipe using cauliflower rice. (For everything else you need to know about Barukas nuts, give a listen to my podcast with founder Darin Alien.)

For the shrimp, I used a simple garlic-infused grass-fed butter. I seasoned the cauliflower rice from Thrive Market with paprika, cayenne, salt, and black pepper, then stirred in two heaping tablespoons of the Barukas Butter and a handful of the Barukas Trail Mix (a mix of the nuts and skins that is basically like crack).

I cooked the shrimp in a wok for 7-8 minutes, then added in the cauliflower rice with another hefty spoonful of  Barukas nut butter and trail mix, and voila! A quick and easy low-carb dinner that my sons and wife loved.

If you want to give this shrimp and grits, or my popsicle, a try (or heck, both), click here for 15% off your first order of Barukas nuts.

Product Of The Week:

::: Save 10% On My Go-To Enzymes To Help With Digestion Problems :::

I recently received a question from a reader. He wanted to know if he could avoid digestion problems by eating only healthy organic food. It’s a nice thought, but unfortunately, it’s just not possible.

You see, your natural ability to digest food declines with age. This is because your body produces fewer enzymes — which are the proteins responsible for digesting food.

Fewer enzymes mean more difficulty digesting food.

Even organic foods won’t provide enough enzymes to properly aid digestion. This is especially true if you cook your food because cooking kills enzymes.

This is why you may have digestion problems even after a healthy meal. Your body just can’t produce enough enzymes to get the job done!

This is where supplementing with a high-quality enzyme supplement like Masszymes by BiOptimizers (my top pick) can be a huge help. It’s a best-in-class supplement loaded with full spectrum enzymes for digesting proteins, starches, sugars, fibers, and fats.

Taking Masszymes daily helps top off your enzyme levels and replace the enzymes your body is no longer producing. This means you’ll be able to eat all sorts of delicious foods and digest them quickly and effortlessly.

After you start taking Masszymes, you may notice that you no longer feel bloated after meals and that your belly feels flatter. And if you have a leaky gut, Masszymes could reduce gut irritation and help you absorb more nutrients.

Listen, life is too short to suffer from digestion problems. If you want freedom from your food, try Masszymes risk-free and experience for yourself the magic of high-quality enzymes. So click here to get your hands on BiOptimizer's Masszymes to help control bloating and gas, digest food faster, and feel better.
