For the chocolates effects on the skin would that work with raw cocoa podwer and if so what would the dosage be thats an equivalent to eating chocolate itself?
There's been no research done on that, but check this out (esp. regarding cacao butter): http://healthtalk-ht.blogspot.com/2012/08/chocola…
For the college student studying human health and performance…
How about recruiting more muscle fibers to actually burn the calories while sitting. A rapid, high intensity 4-7 minute full body workout on morning and another later afternoon wouldn’t cost too much time and effort while still getting huge benefit over the increased metabolism rate between the workouts.
Could you lay out the workout protocol for me please? :)
Which one? The one for training for heat? We go over it briefly in the podcast.
You may want to mention that lambskin condoms do not stop HIV.
I clicked on the z-health podcast link and it took me to a page that described the podcast, but the podcast itself is nowhere to be found. there is no play button anywhere on the page. btw, this was a great podcast, tons of great information! thanks Ben!
Yikes we will fix this ASAP!
We generally only keep hens, but I brought a handy Craftsman snipper (a cross between secateurs and a Stanley knife) back to NZ that works a treat on old, sick layers.
We raised one giant, very aggressive rooster. I wasn’t keen to grab him so I took his head off with the .22. He was huge and quite tasty,
Does Rachel worry about the blatant humping between steers or dogs? Could be dangerous stopping that on this farm.
Kem, I’ve never seen steers mate, but I have seen dogs mate. And no way does it seem anywhere near as unwanted as I have observed with chickens and roosters. Of course, this is just my own personal observation, and I don’t live on a farm!
I actually went and stayed on the beef farm of my best friend in Hawkes Bay, NZ! Really incredible experience, I have massive respect for farmers!
I have often wondered if any hens ever enjoy copulation, I think the right hen in the right mood at the right time at least doesn’t fight it. I know that having too many roosters TENDS to result in endless warfare, however… depends on the cocks. For example, if you only have submissive cocks, you could potentially have a Hen at the top of the pecking order, then she would not allow a submissive male unless she wanted it. Also, you know you have too many roosters if the hens develop bald spots on their backs. That’s where the rooster “holds on” with his beak, with a healthy ratio of females to males none of the hens will Queen B. With the chicken hormones, I think, this would be pretty unlikely, and you may have to go through a lot of roosters to accomplish this situation.
Super interesting Sean, thanks for commenting! Such a bizarre thing to bring up, but I honestly have been wondering because it seems rather violent. I wonder does it make a difference whether they are enclosed or free range? Most of it I have seen is in enclosed pens.
Submissive cocks. Is there really such a thing?
It feels really hard to have an adult conversation about this.
Hey, have you guys heard the latest from The Scibabe? She’s been working out your mind with her new book that developes the power of mind so check it out now at on iTunes.
