My New Method To Get More Out Of The Podcasts I Listen To
If you're like me, sometimes you have podcasts going in the background when driving or working—and you may not be giving what you're listening to your full attention. Or the show is so packed with awesome content that you may find yourself doubting whether you've retained it all.
If you aren't familiar with the concept of spaced repetition, it's a method of returning to review content that you've listened to, viewed, or read to help solidify the information in your brain more effectively.
I've recently nailed down a way to use spaced repetition to get the most out of podcasts. What I do is listen to a show, then I go to the Podcast Notes website and review the comprehensive notes for that podcast (which only takes me about 5 to 10 minutes in Podcast Notes). What I find is that with this method I hold onto the information that I've learned from the podcast far more successfully.
So, if you're a podcast junkie like me, I highly recommend incorporating Podcast Notes into your routine so that you can retain as much information as possible from your favorite shows. Happy listening!
