It has been quite a ride for me. I woke up in an ICU hospital bed on the night of March 20th, 2011 and realized I had been struck by a series of large vehicles while crossing a busy street. I had a collapsed lung, seven broken ribs and a severe compound fracture of my jaw, which was broken in five places…

…thus begins the story of Andy Hnilo – a man who came knocking on my front door several weeks ago with this amazing story and a box full of exactly what he used to attack his injuries from the inside and outside, and the most critical tool he used to heal his broke and bloodied face and skin: a hand-crafted blend of unique, specialized ingredients from around the world, which he formulated himself.

  1. Really enjoyed this podcast so much I forwarded it over to share…I’d like to know what Deer placenta you use? What brand do you recommend? Also is there any articles on the subject you can share? From the look of it I don’t see much and what I do see doesn’t seem to be deep. I’ve ordered the mask! Over the years I’ve created many things due to my son’s 3rd degree burns so everything shared on here makes complete sense! Thanks again for a great podcast!

  2. Lisa says:

So, loved the podcast! Going to give the mask a try but was wondering if you had any advice or if your expertise with skin healing could be applied to pregnancy stretch marks. I’ve struggled for years to find a non invasive solution and don’t really want to resort to burning lasers or scalpels. I’m a fit lady but wouldn’t be caught dead in a bikini as my stomach is stretched and wrinkled like a women in her 90’s! Just want to keep my cells healthy and help them hopefully put things back together by just encouraging them to do what they do naturally. I know I’m asking for a miracle but maybe you are on to something, your results look great!

    1. Andy Hnilo says:

      Hi Lisa!

If caught early on, I really feel like the arsenal of the Alitura derma roller, clay mask, serum, and night cream would be an optimal treatment and could have a significant impact diminishing the appearance of the stretch marks. The organic cacao butter in the night cream has been known to fight stretch marks so it is possible, especially before using the derma roller for increased absorption. Hope this helps! -Andy Hnilo

  3. Zoran says:

If I were to only get one product which would you recommend? Thanks

    1. Andy Hnilo says:

Hi Zoran! Super tough question.. but I am going to have to go with The Alitura Clay Mask. Let me know if you have any questions :)

  4. Dustin says:

Hey Ben, always enjoy your podcast and all the guests! Thanks to Andy as well! Towards the end of this podcast you talked about getting a tanning bed in your house. It seems like their is a lot of negative research around these days regarding tanning beds. Would you mind elaborating a little on your opinion? I’d love to hear what you think as it’s quite clear you don’t take this stuff lightly and are really dialed in to the science behind it all.

Thanks so much and keep up the great work!

Thanks for checking it out! -Andy Hnilo

    2. I'm not going with just any old tanning bed. I've found this one to be what I consider the best alternative to actual sun exposure: http://www.promolife.com/sperti-kbd-d-uv-vitamin-…

  5. Mike says:

How many “servings” come in each container? Also, should you start with one mask per week for a few weeks? How long do the effects last?

    Thankya!

    1. Andy Hnilo says:

Hey Mike! There are around 15 tablespoons in the jar. Some people use a tablespoon per application. I would recommend starting once a week at night as it is very stimulating, in a good way! I use raw organic apple cider vinegar that has an astringent quality to it really tones the skin as well. I like lemongrass, sea buckthorn, sweet orange, and clary sage essential oils to add to the mask experience. I recommend working your way up to 1-3x a week. Depending on the consistency of staying with the masking routine, effects can be quite long lasting. It is the one thing that I have inside my house that would give me anxiety if I was out of it. Undeniably effective and consistent results that I can feel and see every time. The Derma Roller is a way to ‘turn up’ the mask application if you feel like, pretty remarkable. Hope this helps! -Andy Hnilo

    Hello!

I just listened to this podcast this morning, I really appreciate your openness and your energy! ❤️

I’m excited to try your products since they are on sale right now and with the coupon code you gave in the the podcast. Thank you!

I’m trying to decide on what to order.

I usually use a B.B. cream with SPF in the morning. Does your moisturizer contain any natural SPF to counter photo aging?

If not, Can you please explain again on the advantages of sun exposure?

Thank you again! I look forward to understanding better.

    1. Andy Hnilo says:

      Hi Francine!

First off.. THANK YOU for listening and for the kind words. I appreciate it. SPF is a difficult thing. I cannot claim that our products have any quantifiable SPF in them. Personally, I do not use a sunblock and I do not plan on creating one because I just am unsure if I want to add zinc (non-nano or not) or titanium dioxide to any of my products. I would rathe nourish with my moisturizer, get little sun, wear a hat and find some shade when needed. So the short answer is maybe there is a little SPF but I just cannot make that claim. I hope this helps! -Andy Hnilo

  7. Antwain says:

Hi Ben love the podcast, Andy said he like to use a colostrum. Do you know the brand he spoke about, thank you

    1. Not sure what he uses, but I can highly recommend Kion Colostrum. Get some here: https://getkion.com/shop/body/kion-colostrum/

    2. Andy Hnilo says:

Hey Antwain! Thanks for checking it out. I use Synertek Colostrum, but I am sure Ben’s is kickass too. -Andy Hnilo

  8. Eric says:

Ben, great podcast with Andy. I’ve been using a collagen powder in my coffee to help my skin and all natural shave creams and moisturizers on my face. I’ve definitely seen some nice improvements but never really researched and other healing products. I have some mild acne scarring that I haven’t wanted a dermatologist to mess with.

Do you think Andy’s product may help address some of that scarring?

    Much thanks Ben.

    1. Andy Hnilo says:

Hi Eric! Sorry for the late reply. I have had several customers in a similar situation. Depending on the severity of the acne scarring, I would recommend using The Clay Mask (barring any allergies to the ingredients) but start off with water to mix and then work your way up to Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar. If it were me, I would consider experimenting with a .25mm Derma Roller application first to increase absorption of The Clay Mask to get to a deeper level of absorption. Our Night Cream has Manuka Honey which would accelerate the healing of the skin and the Plant Derived Stem Cells would hopefully increase cell turnover which stimulating new fresh collagen. Over time, I really believe that the mild bleaching effects of the Freshwater Pearl Powder will fade away the scarring. By all means feel free to shoot me pictures at [email protected] as individual results may very. I hope this helps, and thanks for checking out the podcast! That was too much fun. -Andy Hnilo
