But what if I told you that your post-exercise routine, like a cold shower or ice bath, could sabotage your gains?
In this solosode, prepare to dive deep into groundbreaking research suggesting that cold water immersion might hinder muscle growth, and explore a variety of captivating health and wellness topics challenging the status quo.
First up, you'll dissect the truth behind intermittent fasting, uncovering whether it's truly detrimental to your health, as some studies suggest. Then, you'll unravel a study claiming that animal protein might speed up atherosclerosis — a condition where plaque accumulates inside arteries — as I investigate the study's methodology and implications to separate fact from fiction.
Next, you'll dive into the potential health hazards of smartphone radio frequencies and unveil strategies to minimize exposure, including the use of low-EMF headphones. Additionally, you'll get to gain insights into the captivating world of placebo effects on performance and health, discovering how your beliefs about caffeine intake could impact your running performance.
And that's not all — wrap up with a fascinating study suggesting that blue-green algae could enhance memory in cognitively impaired individuals. I'll even offer a personal recommendation on how to incorporate this superfood into your diet.

What head phones would you use while riding road bikes , MTB and working out ?
I’ve been using shockz vibration headset , but it’s blue tooth based .
Thanks
CJ
When it comes to choosing headphones for activities like road biking, mountain biking, and working out, I’m pretty particular, especially regarding EMF exposure and the practicality of the headphones during intense activities. While Bluetooth options like your Shockz vibration headset are popular for their convenience, I personally lean towards wired solutions whenever possible to minimize EMF exposure. For instance, I use USB C wired headphones because they avoid the Bluetooth radiation, and they don’t get tangled as easily as you might think, which is great when you’re on the move .
Hey Ben – I use a Vitamix for my smoothies. I had been using a Kitchen Aid blender, and it did a good job, however, the VM does a much better job. Here is my basic smoothie recipe I have just about every day:
6 oz organic plain Kefer
4 oz fresh watermelon juice (made via the VM)
5 oz water
2 handfuls organic Arugula
Small handful of either organic parsley or cilantro
2 organic Red Kale leaves
A few mint leaves off my mint plant
1-2 ribs of organic celery
1/4 cup Bovine blood plasma protein
1/4 cup protein mix consisting of casein, isolate, and whey
1 small scoop Black cumin seeds
1 scoop creatine
1/2 organic banana including peel
Other fruit like small organic apple or pear, maybe some frozen grapes or cherries
Sometimes I add 1 or 2 scoops of beet root powder
Sometimes I add organic flax seed or chia seeds
Sometimes I add some Nutrional yeast
Sometimes I add some local, raw, unfiltered honey
Yes – this is a massive smoothie
What are your thoughts on Lambs underwear, cap, etc for protecting oneself from EMFs?
Hey Ben! Your solo-pods are MUST listen. I’m disappointed you sent your Ninja Creami back haha. I’m a health and fitness coach, and just for content purposes, I do Ninja Creami reviews every weekend (https://www.ftvfitness.com/ninja-creami-recipes). My two year old son also LOVES them so it’s a win-win. So many superfood protein-packed ice cream recipes: raw honey, maple syrup, stevia, coconut milk, almond milk, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, raw milk, etc. I’ve also thrown in some CBD in some of them. Maybe you’ll come across some of my recipes and reviews haha. Big fan though, keep killin it!
