New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!
I'm Part Of A (Free) New Survival Series
There's been a lot of craziness this past year…
Between the lockdowns and politics alone, there has been no shortage of misinformation and flat-out lies.
But recently, I was asked to be a part of a film called End Game that addresses what's happening in the world right now and—even more importantly—what you can do about it. The series was released this week, with all 9 episodes now available for free.
The producers of End Game interviewed a host of experts in the fields of money, survival, education, and more. In my interview, I talk about how to make sure your kids are taken care of and prepared.
Anything can happen at any time. This year has certainly proven that point. You can't personally control events like a pandemic outbreak or a Wall Street collapse, but you can control how prepared you are to face unexpected and challenging situations. This is without a doubt something that I'm teaching my twin boys…heck, I sent them off into the wilderness alone last week (and because they had the skill set, they did great).

How To Supercharge Your Breathwork
I've been talking a lot about breathwork lately, and for good reason—it's a highly effective stress-reducing, wellness-boosting tool that's free and can be done anywhere.
Breathwork is also unique in that it can be combined with so many other health-promoting practices. I incorporate breathwork into my morning movement routine to amplify my energy, and I bring deep nasal breathing and hyperoxygenation breathing into my sauna.
If you've been following me for a while, you know that a favorite healing device of mine is made by Joovv. Red light therapy has proven benefits that mirror those of breathwork, including decreased stress, increased energy, and healing. When breathwork is combined with red light therapy, the results, at least for me, seem to be dramatically enhanced, probably due to the activation of multiple mitochondrial energy-producing pathways via the photons of light, which, when combined with breathwork, really amps up the body's energy production pathways. My friends at Joovv recently blogged about the advantages of adding breathwork to your red light therapy routine, and there's a helpful video on there demonstrating the 4-7-8 breathing technique that I've also talked about in the past.
Anyways, this weekend, Joovv is having a big Memorial Day sale. If you want to try taking your breathwork to the next level, I highly recommend checking it out. You can get hefty discounts off the full-body devices ($200 off the Joovv Max; $300 off the Joovv Quad; $400 off the Joovv Elite), with 0% APR for up to 24 months. If you contact the folks at Joovv, they can help walk you through the unit that's right for you.
