New Discoveries
Ketone-Fueled Protein Bar That Tastes Like a Warm, Gooey Cinnamon Roll Fresh Out of the Oven (& Now Ships Straight to Your Door with Amazon Prime!?)⚡
If you’ve ever grabbed a “protein bar” only to get a quick spike, a crash, and hunger an hour later, you already know most bars are basically junk food in disguise.
That’s exactly why I created something different.
The Boundless Bar is now available on Amazon, making it easier than ever to upgrade how you fuel your day.
It’s the world’s first edible ketone bar, built with goBHB® ketones, healthy fats, and 18 grams of collagen protein to deliver clean, sustained energy for both your body and brain.
Instead of relying on sugar, it supports mental clarity, physical performance, recovery, and appetite control, *without* the jitters or crash.
And because most ketone products taste terrible, I made sure these actually deliver. You can snag the Cinnamon Roll flavor, which tastes just like the real thing, with warm toasted cinnamon and rich, gooey buttery sweetness in every bite.
Each bar includes:
- 18g hydrolyzed collagen protein: Supports muscle recovery, joints, skin, and hair.
- 260–270 calories with healthy fats: From cashew butter and cocoa butter for steady fuel.
- goBHB® ketones: Rapid, stable energy without stimulants or crashes.
- No seed oils, gluten, dairy, or soy: Gut-friendly, clean ingredients.
- Honey + monk fruit: For a balanced, indulgent taste.
These just launched and are already moving fast, so don’t wait too long…
If you want a bar that works with your physiology, not against it, you can now grab the Boundless Bar on Amazon here.
New Study Challenges One of Fitness's Most Longstanding “Rules” (& the Results Are Hard to Ignore)… 💪⚡
For years, the standard advice has been simple: eat in a surplus to build muscle, eat in a deficit to lose fat.

But a new study is starting to poke holes in that type of black-and-white thinking.
Researchers compared two groups of resistance-trained adults, one eating at maintenance calories and one in a moderate calorie deficit, both consuming high protein (~2.5 g/kg/day) and following the same training program.
The result?
Both groups experienced improved body compositions. The deficit group lost more fat, as expected, but both groups gained lean mass at nearly the same rate.
In other words, even *without a calorie surplus*, participants were still able to build muscle, as long as protein intake was high and training was consistent.
This directly challenges the traditional “energy balance” model that says you can’t do both at once.
My take is that if you want to shift your body recomposition, you don't have to obsess over nailing the perfect calorie target. Instead, focus on hitting the fundamentals: adequate protein and consistent resistance training. Whether you’re eating at maintenance or in a slight deficit, you can make progress on both sides of the equation if those pieces are in place.

This Week in Health & Performance: What the Latest Research Says
🧘♂️⏰ Morning vs. Evening Yoga… Does Timing Matter? New research suggests that for outcomes like stress, anxiety, depression, sleep, and overall quality of life, it doesn’t really matter whether you practice yoga in the morning or evening. Doing it regularly seems to be more important than the exact timing (read more here).
🐟⚖️ Fish Oil Ratios & Why More DHA Isn’t Necessarily Better: I'm sometimes asked why Kion Omega Fish Oil does NOT have “extra” DHA. A large meta-analysis of 96 randomized controlled trials found no clear advantage to altering the EPA: DHA ratio, challenging the idea that “extra DHA” is superior. The takeaway: balance may matter more than specific ratios (full study here).
🏋️♂️🏃♀️ Variety in Exercise Linked to Longer Life: A 2026 study following over 100,000 people for 30+ years found that mixing different types of exercise, such as strength, cardio, and sports, was associated with a 19% lower risk of premature death compared to sticking with just one type, regardless of total volume (more about the study here).
🍽️📱 Distracted Eating May Increase Hunger: Seems obvious, but research confirms that eating while distracted, like scrolling your phone or watching TV, can lead to increased hunger later and higher overall calorie intake. Paying attention to your meals is a simple way to support appetite control (read the study).
Key Takeaway: From yoga timing and fish oil ratios to exercise variety and mindful eating, this week’s research reinforces a simple theme: consistency, balance, and awareness often matter more than over-optimizing the details.

::: Save 20% On the Infrared Sauna Blanket That Turns Your Living Room Into A Recovery Lab :::
If you’ve ever used a traditional sauna, you know how powerful that deep, penetrating heat can be for recovery, relaxation, and sleep.
But let’s be honest, most people don’t have time for a 30-minute drive, a gym session, and a sauna on top of it.
Lucky for you, the BON CHARGE Infrared Sauna Blanket brings that same far-infrared heat into your home in a simple, portable setup.
Instead of heating the air around you, it uses targeted wavelengths to warm your body directly, helping support circulation, muscle relaxation, calorie burn, and nervous system downshifting, all while you lie comfortably with your head out. That means there's no overheating, hassle, or post-sauna mess.
I like using this after a hard workout or in the evening as part of a wind-down routine to ease tension, promote recovery, and set the stage for deeper sleep, without needing a full sauna buildout.
If you’re looking for a practical, time-efficient way to layer in heat therapy, this blanket is a solid option.
Right now, you can save 20% on the Infrared Sauna Blanket with code BEN20 here.
