Everything You Need To Know About Supercompensation
Jen wrote: How far down into the “red” do you allow yourself to go with HRV? As a cyclist, I follow my coach’s periodized training program- weekly, monthly, seasonally… (I race crits most weekends from April until July). So often I will have a hard week of workouts where I don’t fully recover, followed by a lighter week where I might be recovered the entire week. I don’t like how I feel when I see that I am only 21 or 25% recovered, and I worry that I am doing some damage. I don’t get sick but I do feel extreme fatigue sometimes, which requires extra recovery methods. I guess I always wonder if this makes me a better athlete, or just increases the need to recover-know what I mean?
Amino Acids In Supplements Vs. Foods
Caleb says: In terms of the recovery benefits, what is the difference between pill amino acids, powder amino acids and naturally taken in amino acids – like food?

How To Mentally Recover From Hard Training
Elaina wrote: I'd really like to delve into understanding the recovery of self-esteem, particularly when placing expectations on oneself to perform and train when the body is ready but the mind throws a load of negatives. As an athlete and as part of a team it was easy to recover quicker as camaraderie and sharing of muscle pain seemed to overcome it psychologically. Now with family commitments and in an industry of helping others it becomes mentally draining to then recover for my next training session.

–Earthpulse
–Flexpulse
–Deep sleep cycles

Ask Your Question
—————————————————–
Can you provide any evidence that the majority of protein from food is excreted as “nitrogenous waste”?
The only reference seems to point back to Dr Minkoff, who happens to sell EAA products, and has trademarked the AUU score or whatever the term is, showing that EAA are “superior” to food?
That sounds like a conflict of interest.
Whey, casein, eggs are typically seen as the ‘king of proteins’. So would really like to understand how you came up with the idea that EAA supplements are better than real food?
Here's one study I'd recommend checking out: https://bengreenfieldlife.com/wp-content/uploa…
Thanks for the informative podcast. I’m curious if you have the titles of research articles regarding the hydration of fascia, as well as how soft tissue work may support that.
Thank you Ben and his hard working team!
Thanks for answering the question. I was asking about peptides and so on because I work on my fascia on daily basis too. I think that my problems come from rachitis and birth related problems that I had as a child and I suspect that my fascia is not fully developed in some areas (especially neck and abs)
And by the way, I know it sounds crazy but I think fascia is the reason for people:
– making tattoos (stimulating skin level of fascia)
– smoking – triggering fascia defense mechanism to coordinate (which is in constant fight with thinking)
– drinking – relaxing to enable fascia to do its job
– energies – Kundalini, Qi, Holy Spirit – you name it (coordination is based on pressure management including gases distribution)
– praying styles, mudras, asanas and so on
– doing harm to body like earrings and so on – everything to bring attention to fascia which is taken oven by thinking
– clothing styles – that obvious
– breathing exercises, meditation, cold/hot exposure
– and much more:)
And its based on practicing with own body and observing for a long time. And by the way you can learn to feel fascia – it is kind of 6th sense
Hey Ben,
Would 1 min cold shower post-workout have negative effect or does it only apply to more extreme options like ice bath or cryo?
Ben stated that he takes high dose turmeric and high dose CBD pre-massage. What would you consider( in mg) to be high dose turmeric and CBD?
4-5g turmeric and 40-60mg CBD. I recommend Thorne Hemp Oil for maximum bioavailability! https://www.thorne.com/products/dp/hemp-oil-plus?affid=ThrnFx1072858/
