Last month, I ventured to a place called “The Human Garage” in Venice Beach, California…

…for an absolutely mind-blowing full body reboot that turned out to be the most unique mash-up of deep tissue body work, aromatherapy, energy healing and combination of ancestral methods and modern science that I've ever experienced in my life.

Not kidding. I left as a new man with a new body. So what is the Human Garage?

At Human Garage, they pursue the Power of Alignment, balancing both body and mind to maximize the innate capacities present in each of our bodies to heal. They utilize a systemic, hands-on approach to unwinding and rebalancing body and mind. They believe by locating and releasing the origin of the problem of pain, biomechanically and biochemically, the body begins to unwind and lays the foundation for the body to heal itself.

They take clients through an unwinding process with a hands-on release therapy they created and designed to realign the body from the inside out. Their treatment is based on the belief that every person and every body is different. Their belief is that people ultimately know their own bodies better than anyone else and have to actively participate in its recovery. Unlike traditional modalities for treating pain, they believe in finding and treating the origin of discomfort to avoid chasing symptoms of pain and dysfunction.

Their approach is based on a sound belief in the connection between body and mind and they offer a variety of services to bring the body back into balance. In addition to their unwinding and release alignment protocol, they also provide services such as nutritional supplementation and coaching, personal training and biomechanical development to maximize well-being and health. They also offer a wide variety of functional foods and hand-crafted essential oils to keep your body and mind happy, healthy, and in motion.

On today's podcast with Human Garage founder Garry Lineham, you'll discover:

-The story of how Garry went from a bed-bound ex-bodybuilder to completely reinventing and fixing his anatomy…[13:15]

-Why most people (including doctors, chiropractors and physical therapists) don't see the full picture and “get it wrong” when it comes to permanently fixing your joint aches and pains…[17:00]

-The surprising number of people who work on you all at the same time at the Human Garage (I personally had 4 people working on me at once)…[25:30 & 47:55]

-How Garry “talks to your body” and asks it questions, then sense the response…[27:20 & 55:40]

-Why Garry endorses high dose curcumin and ketones combined with one special ingredient (this one surprised me) to make his work even more effective…[83:00]

-The very special “enhancement tea” and “sprig water” Garry uses…[87:40 & 97:40]

-Where essential oils and aromatherapy fit into the healing process, and how you can use them…[92:45]

-How to incorporate sound healing and music into deep tissue therapy…[93:30]

-And much more!

  1. Laura says:

This was a really interesting podcast and I just did the initial consult. I was super interested after hearing them interviewed on barbell shrugged and again on Ben’s podcast. I was all excited about it but now I’m having cold feet.. being the scientist I am it is hard for me to wrap my mind around energy medicine and these sorts of approaches, as well as to believe anything that isn’t proven through and through (thanks grad school). I’m worried I’m going to waste a bunch of $ and time on something else that won’t work. How do I know that it is really legit?? All of the reviews are so positive it almost makes it unbelievable. Like surely this doesn’t work for EVERYONE under EVERY circumstance right? Any words of wisdom? Having a hard time making a decision!

    1. Laura says:

Just to respond to my own comment for any of you reading – I talked further with Sarah and Garry at the garage and feel pretty reassured this will help me now. They took the time to give me a detailed response about their success rate which I feel most people wouldn’t bother to do. I am going to go for it and see how it goes!

    2. jen says:

Laura or anyone else who visited the Human Garage – I’d love to hear an update on your experience. I signed up for the consultation and now feel like I’m being stalked to make the appointment. in addition, they are very sketchy on details regarding costs for the subsequent sessions or the “treatment package.” I have the same concerns as Laura and don’t have tons of money to burn on yet another treatment which claims to fix everything. I’m not a pro athlete or wealthy LA westsider, so I have to be judicious about these things. Any insight would be very helpful. Thank you!

      1. Erin says:

did you hear about the February promo? “In honor of February, their month of self-love, the Garage is offering $75 Gift Cards to new clients when they book an initial consult. Use my name to redeem.”

    3. Stefanie Hilton says:

I’m having trouble with the link to the Ketofuel and the Powercurc. Where can I find these products to buy?

  2. Chris Brown says:

I can’t believe you didn’t ask him how he got his testosterone up so high? I injured my hip running track in high school and it has never healed or recovered since. I’ve seen many different doctors and physical therapists but no one has been able to help me. I would be really curious to know if the folks at Human Garage would be able to help me. I’m in Vancouver and near the end of the podcast it was mentioned that they will open up a centre in Vancouver. That would be super awesome! Awesome podcast can’t wait to check it out!

  3. Jill W. says:

I herniated my L5 disc pretty badly in 2017, and have nerve damage. I tried many things including Rolfing, EFT, meditation, Foundation Training, hydrodissection, etc before and after surgery (I waited as long as possible, 1 year, hoping to avoid it) but still not healed. AM taking Lion’s Mane, B vitamins, serrapeptase, fish oils, curcumin. Looking into stem cell therapy in Cayman Islands.

    1. Has Human Garage treated any cases of nerve damage successfully?

    2. Why doesn’t the curcumin supplement have bioperene/black pepper extract? Are people taking this separately.

    Thank you!

  4. Nicole Hammond says:

Is the KetoFuel safe for a young 12 year old athlete?

    1. All supplements are medication, and any medication needs to have background and context before recommendations can be made, especially when it comes to teenagers. I am not a doctor and this is not to be taken, interpreted or construed as medical advice. These are just my own personal thoughts and not a prescription or a diagnosis or any form of health care whatsoever. There are teenagers I'm aware of who the BA KetoFuel under the direction of a nutritionist and doctor. The BA KetoFuel is great for maitaining a Ketogenic diet and supports nutrional ketosis.

  5. Robb says:

Didn’t see any mention about how much the process @ Human Garage costs?

    1. Hey Robb, I'd give them a call or email their support to make sure you get the right info:
      (323) 325.5787
      [email protected]

  6. Tim says:

Great podcast Ben! I bought the bundle and am wondering the process from here to get the assessment. Called them, and I’m even more confused.

They said you provided the assessment, or had to send me the link to register for it. Then they said they’d put me on the list. Now I don’t know what to do.

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Human Garage says:

      Hi Tim,

Apologies for the confusion. Yes, we will be reaching out shortly to start scheduling your online assessment.

The message will come via email and will explain what steps to follow next.

Please feel free to reach out with any further questions.

      Thanks,

      The Human Garage Team

      1. Mike says:

Hi, I am in the same boat – – I purchased that package which includes an alignment assessment. I realize you guys might have gotten swamped by the response, but maybe you could send out an email to folks asking them to be patient, and that you will get back with them. It has been almost 3 weeks, and you know how orders and email are, one just starts to wonder whether the process is going along OK. Thanks, Mike

  7. Ben, this podcast blew my mind. What these guys are saying about the mind- body-spirit connection is exactly the same thing that what Wendy Myers has been saying about NES Health bioenergetics on your podcast too.

The fascia/cellular matrix seems to be the key, and seems to be holding some of the unknown keys to unlocking tension from trauma and restore normal function.

    Keep it up!

    Nick

  8. Shaun says:

Ben/Garry, Loved the show! During, you discussed people drinking enough water and still being dehydrated due to lack of minerals, etc. Can you make any suggestions on supplements, mineral additives, etc. to helping get my body hydrated?

I was a college athlete with a lot of injuries and Ben’s show has made me start to realize many of my mobility problems (along with other symptoms of chronic dehydration) may have been a result of dehydration!

    Cheers,

    Shaun

    1. Human Garage says:

      Hi Shaun,

Thanks for reaching out! we recommend a few things…

      1. Drink liquids away from meals

      2. Add a dash of sea salt, 3 times a day in your water (pink himalayan sea salt is best)

      3. Prill Beads protocol

Please feel free to reach out with any further questions.

      Thanks,

      The Human Garage Team

    2. Human Garage says:

Also, make sure your water is room temp not cold

      1. Stefanie Hilton says:

        Why is this important?

  9. Karen says:

Best podcast I’ve listened to in a long time! I usually listen as I go to bed, set the timer for 30 min and drift off to sleep. Not this episode, had to listen to the whole damn thing! Today I am devouring the show notes and will watch the video. Thanks Ben for introducing us to the Human Garage, amazing people with truly groundbreaking work.

  10. Joanna Lee says:

This is mind blowing stuff!! Super cool!!

  11. James Mc Geough says:

Excited to final see this drop, having watched half of it on FB Live. I’m actually heading to The Human Garage (from Ireland) after hearing Garry on Barbell Shrugged (http://daily.barbellshrugged.com/episode-254/) and The Bledsoe Show (http://www.thebledsoeshow.com/shows/garry-lineham-of-the-human-garage) – both excellent podcasts. Still unsure about it, but I’ll soon find out. Thanks for sharing guys.

  12. Greg Padovani says:

    Great episode

Can you confirm the short bit about how 1 shot of Jaeger will help with fascia….;.?

I normally don’t drink but this might convince me of the medicinal use of alcohol.

    1. JAEGER IN PARTICUALR IS A BOTANICAL AS WELL AS THE ALCOHOL. WHEN THE FASCIA GETS A LITTLE ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE LOOSENING CAUSED BY THE JAEGER THE BODY ITSLEF RELAXES. THE BRAIN IS SIMPLY REPORTING TO YOU WHATS HAPPENING IN YOUR BODY AND WHEN THE BODY IS CALM THE BRAIN IS CALM. LIKE BEN…JUST TRY IT!!!

      1. Greg says:

        Thanks!

  13. Sumeet says:

Is there any way to reach out to Mr. Lineham if you are a physician and want to inquire about getting some training at the Human Garage?

    1. Hi Sumeet, this is Garry's email address:

      Garry is [email protected]

  14. Paula says:

I have to say I agree with with FedFan. A little frustrating.

  15. Tara says:

How would you compare their Keto product to other products like Pruvit?

    1. I like both and cycle between

  16. Thomas F says:

Guys this was amazing, one of the best podcasts I’ve seen/listened to in a long while! Absolutely love the holistic approach and working from the basics up, with a sane approach to supplementation it seems :). Much love, Thomas

  17. John Mitchell says:

    Ben,

You mentioned that you should not take PowerCurc after working out because of the benefits of inflammation after working out.

If I would out in the morning (e.g HIIT training with Vasper Systems) can I take PowerCurc that night?

How much time after working out can I take PowerCurc?

    John

    1. I would separate by about 6 to 8 hours. There's not a whole lot of research on this but that's my general rule.

  18. James Ledoux says:

Great podcast Ben! Where can I order the BA Keto Fuel?

    1. Link should be in notes above and if not, we are working on it!

      1. Gina Anzaldua Stevenson says:

I hit the link but it links to their other supplement

        1. I am working to fix that.. check back soon

  19. Fascinating ! I watched several Cadaver prosecutions/dissections and the fascia is very strong and yes … can crystallize!

  20. FedFan says:

Ben, ben you interrupted a little too much. Albeit it’s informative :-)

    1. Don Purciful says:

Not little too much.Way too much. As usual. Makes me want to throw stuff. Let people finish their sentence /though.
