New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!

How My Wife And I Got Our Hands Nice And Dirty This Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated my dear, sweet wife’s 40th birthday with an underground pig roast and Luau-style Hawaiian feast.

The morning after, I woke up feeling like I ran an Ironman triathlon…with a pig.

But let me tell you, it was well worth it for the ridiculously delicious result. And as you can see from the photos, there’s nothing much sexier than a hot girl carving into a pig and getting her hands all dirty for her birthday.

This is this the ArtOfManliness article I referenced for instructions on how exactly to roast a pig underground. My wife and I did whip out the Traeger grill to “finish” the pork with Primal Kitchen's Hawaiian BBQ sauce (use code BEN for 10% off) for a bit of extra skin crispiness and caramelization.

I don’t think I’ve ever had pork this tender in my life. I may have to write another cookbook, but it needs to include a foam roller with the book because this recipe is a workout. (In the meantime, my new Boundless Cookbook just hit shelves.)

What do you think? Are you up for hosting your own underground pig roast party this summer?  Let me know in the comments section any crazy recipes you've tried lately.

My World-Famous Smoothie For Fellow Carrot Cake Fanatics

I’m on a kick with my world-famous carrot cake smoothie. And while I don't have a big sweet tooth, I am a sucker for anything carrot cake flavored!

In fact, I love carrot cake so much that I’ll sometimes order carrot cake off the dessert menu at a steakhouse without asking any questions about the dairy used or whether or not it's gluten-free. Yep, I occasionally “take one for the team,” so to speak, and carrot cake falls into that very category. Of course, I follow it up with some activated charcoal, digestive enzymes, or some gluten guardian, unless it’s the world-famous dairy-free, gluten-free carrot cake my wife and sons make me on my birthday and on Father’s Day (and I still pop my trusty, blood-sugar-managing Kion Lean before that anyways!).

This smoothie is free of gluten, dairy, sugar, and any inflammatory ingredients, and tastes like you’re basically drinking carrot cake for breakfast, although some say it’s more like pumpkin pie. It's actually jam-packed with protein, healthy fats, and fiber to keep you satiated, and most importantly, it's delicious.

In my recent Q&A podcast, I break down every ingredient in this smoothie and share a step-by-step on how to make it. Check it out here!

Special Announcements:

::: 20% Off This Muscle & Bone Power Strengthener :::

Some of you may recall how I interviewed Dr. Jason Conviser last fall, when he talked about the benefits of whole body vibration (WBV).

These vibrations gently and powerfully engage your muscles.  Muscles and bones work hand in hand—when your muscles get stronger, your bones get stronger. Your balance improves, your core gets stronger, and the waves of energy also flow through your tendons which sit between muscle and bones.  These waves have a unique ability to get into your tendons and loosen them up.

The leading company in the space is Power Plate, and right now they're having a special promotion for the Fourth of July. Exclusively for my audience, receive 20% off their entire catalog using code BGF.  Also, for a limited time only, save up to 25% off the my5 or my7 models.

Their most popular model by far is the Power Plate MOVE (get 20% off) which is a great at-home version of the same vibration technology that is used by 23 NFL teams, 25 MLB teams, 18 NBA teams, and 9 NHL teams (not to mention numerous college programs). Get the same technology the pros use but at a fraction of the cost. There’s also a buy now, pay later 0% financing option.

I’ve been notified that supplies are limited due to the same microchip shortages affecting many other technology companies during the pandemic and code BGF for 20% off the entire catalog is valid for this week only. So if you’ve been on the fence about WBV, now is definitely the time to give it a try!

Upcoming Events:

Ancestral Health Symposium (August 12-14, 2021)

I'll be joining other researchers, clinicians, health enthusiasts, fitness professionals, and entrepreneurs at the 2021 Ancestral Health Symposium, a scientific conference that provides a forum for learning and discussion on all areas of human health.

Las Vegas Keto Expo (October 15-16, 2021)

I'll be speaking at the Las Vegas Keto Expo along with 13 other keto experts. The first 300 guests to register here will get a free drink chip for the poolside party and a free t-shirt.

Keep up on all of my LIVE appearances by following!

Stock Up On Kion & Save This 4th Of July Weekend

I can't even count the number of supplements, coffees, and bars that I've tested out over the years…

And there's only one company out there that, across the board, meets my rigorous standards for quality and effectiveness. Kion blends ancestral wisdom with modern science, and all of their products are research-backed formulas made from the cleanest ingredients from science and nature.

This weekend, Kion is having a BIG 4th of July sale. It's definitely worth taking the time to stock up before you head out to that parade or picnic because for a limited time you can get 15% off of your entire order and 25% off subscriptions and bundles. Signing up for subscriptions for your favorite products ensures you won't run out, and you'll earn rewards each month.
