Meet Raj Bhachu.
Raj describes himself as “Pharmacist, Homoeopath, Homotoxicologist, Bioresonance, Bioenergetic and Bioregulatory Medicine Practitioner, Kinesiologist, Scenar, Light and Sound Therapist”…
This obviously unconventional physician, based out of London, is an underground, go-to source for professional athletes, CEO's, celebrities and anyone else who has “tried everything” to fix frustrating issues ranging from cancer to chronic joint pain to nagging injuries.
He has some intriguing healing philosophies, biohacks, medical methods, crazy machines and gadgets that he uses – techniques that may seem “woo woo”, but he also has some A-List clients, including Jamie Oliver, the Vatican and the right-hand man of Oman.
He is technically an integrative medicine specialist, but focuses on holistic, herbal, homeopathic and naturopathic solutions for health. With his background as a pharmacist, he incorporates what he describes as “the best of conventional medicine with natural medicine products and philosophies.”

I’m sorry the guy is a quack, never heard so much nonsense about food and diet when the man is obsese himself. The Raj method give me a break.
No, he’s not, and you’re writing from complete ignorance. He’s helped turn my health around from a terminal illness that conventional medicine had given up on: Please educate yourself before writing about matters you obviously have no clue about.
Hey Ben and Raj,
I’m a practitioner of an ancient south Indian art of acupressure called varmam. Earliest recorded evidence of it dates back to the B.C. era, to a Tamil language classic called the Tholkappiam, they say.
The points shown along the medial thigh by Raj are the very ones we use to treat gout-like pains and varicose veins and even AVN :-)…small world, eh? Our institute is based in Coimbatore, in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu and we have trained thousands of practitioners, including 2000+ medical doctors in the art of Varmam. Varmam had a long unbroken history of practice in Tamil Nadu and the techniques of application, degree of pressure etc. have been evolved to a fine art. Most varmam treatment is quite gentle, unlike reflexology, where the pressure applied on points can be quite substantial.
At the moment, the Institute is training parents of children with special needs free of charge, since there are substantial functional improvements reported by caregivers of children with ADHD, who are on the autism spectrum, etc.
Raj: you mention the inspiration for your Raj method came from the Canary islands? Could you throw some more light on the technique used there?
Ben: love the show and there’s so much in India that ties back to what science is slowly trying to prove (to itself :-) as not being woo-woo. Every show I hear – from sound healing to cold baths to breath work – I have lights going off in my brain that connect back to stuff I’ve heard from Ayurveda and Varmam masters and other traditional healers.
Speaking of stuff that sets lights off: here’s a link to work done at one of the world’s premier institutes of engineering and science, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay on why “water remembers” homeopathic agents.
Succussion or the process of vigorous shaking of the liquid at each dilution was considered to be crucial by the father of Homeopathy, Dr.Hannehman. He thought it somehow made each dilution ‘even more potent’ than the last one. The propellor hats from the chemistry depart of IIT found that the shaking managed to somehow imprint nano particles of the original remedy into the water :-) Cheers.

Haha, I’m listening to this a second time and laughing at the end when you say “We probably just made a whole bunch of people buy plane tickets to London”, because I DID because of this – in fact, after the 5 month waiting list, I am flying to London next week to consult with Raj! Couldn’t be more excited and hoping it goes well, so thank you Ben for exposing the incredible practitioners and people who fly under the radar :=)

Ben, have you used the “whole tones” you talked about? If so do you recommend them? How do they compare to holosync for example?

In terms of the technique for relieving soreness using the pressure points in the leg, some specifics would be helpful. For instance, should you lie completely flat or can you prop yourself up on your elbow (it’s hard to reach your leg if you don’t). Second, how should you apply the pressure – with a fist, a palm, some other method? Lastly, how hard should you press? Is gently pressure enough or do you really need to press down with some leverage? Thanks.
Well, thanks for the great info., the Raj Method was immediately effective for my dad. We would like to know what frequency/how often/how many times a day the method can or should be administered.
Regarding the diet…I don’t think of pineapple as sour; is it possible to get at least a partial list of common ‘sour’ foods to avoid for gout?

So drinking either Fiji Water or Aquacai should be fine even though they come in plastic bottles? I’m a college athlete and don’t have the money for an in home water structurer so I am looking for a way to get in some high quality water.
They both use a thicker plastic less likely to degrade.
I had a bad concussion, 2 years ago, I have heard all your podcast casts regarding concussions/tbi. I have been a ton of places and have come along way but still have some lingering issues. Would love to know if he has any experience with brain injuries.
Question for Raj:
If I understand you correctly, You said that sour foods raise uric acid levels in the body which in turn is the cause of gout, arthritis stiffness. Are foods like vinegar, and other cultured and fermented foods considered sour and to increase uric acid levels as well?
Also you mentioned a link between diabetes and bodily uric acid levels. Can you specify what type of diabetes and explain the link?

Ken: have you done vestibular therapy for your residual concussion symptoms? If not, look into vestibular therapy for concussion in your area. It’s done by a physical therapist who does vestibular therapy for concussion. I
Raj mentioned that there is only one brand of organic milk in the UK that turns yellow when heated. I would love to know the brand and the supermarket.
Can you please tell us the specific brand of rice Raj was indicating? I clicked on the link above and got different brands on two different days.
Organic rice from Dehradun. It makes probably the finest basmati rice.
I know you’re a guy who appreciates accuracy, so please allow me to correct something your guest said; twice, no less …
46:38 “Aquaçai, which comes from Panama; the Amazonian Forest.”
47:10 “It’s a water which comes from Panama, from the Amazonian Forest.”
The Amazon Forest is not in Panama. It is nowhere near Panama. I’m sure Mr. Bhachu is correct about much of what he said in the podcast, but I have to question a health expert who can’t locate the world’s largest rainforest.
The fact that he said this twice (and right after a piece on the scientifically-questionable practices of homotoxicology and homeopathy) would make any serious-minded critical thinker a bit suspicious.
I know I’m not the only one who noticed this (because we fitness and science podcast fans talk to each other). And I know you appreciate accuracy too.
Again, this not a complaint, just a correction. Mr. Bhachu seems like a good guy with good intentions – that definitely came through during the interview.

Response from Raj: Sorry, my fault. Senior citizen moment. The water is from Panama but from the Acai rainforest. I was always good at Science but my geography wasn't up to speck.
How does his on screen accupunture method compare to “Quantum biofeedback”?
Response from Raj: It is very different. The EAV machine that I use is manual and requires the operator to have a precise knowledge of acupuncture points. It is reproducible. If I take a measurement now and repeat later on, the results will be the same. It's all about getting reproducible results.
Question for Raj: you mentioned a uk supermarket branded milk that has good levels of cla. Any clues? Every little helps………cryptic or otherwise is fine…..(am I on the right track)? I’d imagine it’s one of the more upmarket ones but you never know. Thanks

Ben, fantastic podcast! I’ve know about gout for years because of living in Europe. Unfortunately, uric acid testing won’t be done without gout being present, in the U.S. Really want to look into this with my years of chronic joint pain. Where can we get more info on specific diet besides just fructose, sour foods etc..his website is under construction. Thanks!!
Resoonse from Raj: Really need more specifics in relation to joint pain. Generally joint pain can be due to a parasitic infection such as Giardia, bacterial infection such as Brucella and Yersinia or conditions like Gout. There are several other reasons why one would have joint pain. A good idea in relation to diet would be to avoid eating sour foods, limit your fructose intake to under 20g per day and avoid nightshades. Some individuals may have some issues when consuming foods with high salicylates such as coconut oil. I would throw in some oily fish (high selenium/ low Mercury) to get some omega 3 and turmeric ( anti-inflammatory) into the diet. One thing you should do for sure is press the points that I mentioned in the podcast and do it 2-3 times a day. Your pain should decrease by 70-80% on the first attempt. There are several other points that I have that can reduce inflammation and pain but are beyond the scope of a podcast. In relation to supplements, I don't quite know your medical history but I would run the following supplements past a healthcare professional; Boswelia, Curcumin, Devils Claw, Serrapeptase, Manganese and critical carbon dioxide distilled omega 3. I would also get a practitioner suitably qualified to check whether you have low stomach acid.

Anyway, I saw your presentation at Paleo FX, and didn’t you say you tried the near infrared sauna? I really was impressed with that vendor (Sauna Space) and I’m probably going to get one. Do you have any thoughts about near infrared vs. far infrared? I used to have a FIR sauna, but supposedly NIR is better and more therapeutic and can penetrate deeper into the body.

Well, hmm….I decided, when I sold my house and moved, that I never again want to have a huge wooden sauna, because it was such a pain to put together and to take apart. Which is why I loved the Sauna Space design. So anyway, if you had to pick one or the other, which one would it be? Just curious……. :-)
Clearlight saunas have both NIR and FIR lights, so there's no need to chose!

Could the same intranasal device Ben uses be used to help hay fever? I’ve been able to clear most of my allergies over the years, but I have not been able to prevent simple grass/hay fever type allergies.
