Lean, Tender & Nutrient-Dense: Why Piedmontese Beef Outshines “Standard” Beef + My Weird But Delicious Recipe for Acerola Cherry Butter-Glazed Ribeye (Packed With Vitamin C) 🥩🍒

I just pulled off one of the most mouthwatering, antioxidant-packed, collagen-rich steak preps I’ve made all year.

And it all started with a ribeye cut from Manzo’s 100% pure Piedmontese beef—arguably the most nutrient-dense, lean-but-marble-rich steak on the planet.

And I didn’t stop at *just* the steak. I added fresh-picked acerola cherries grown right in my own Idaho backyard, which are a potent powerhouse of vitamin C and antioxidants.

Here’s the breakdown of the recipe, so you can recreate this sweet, savory, mitochondria-fueling masterpiece yourself:

🍒 My Acerola Cherry Butter-Glazed Piedmontese Ribeye

  • Step 1: Bring your Manzo steak to room temp. Cross-hatch the surface with a sharp knife (score the surface of the meat with shallow diagonal cuts in a crisscross pattern, which helps to tenderize it and creates more surface area for browning). Then season it generously with sea salt, cracked black pepper, and a blend of paprika, onion, and garlic powder.
  • Step 2: Drop it in a blazing hot cast-iron skillet with a slab of grass-fed butter. Sear for 2 minutes on each side until you’ve got that perfect caramelized crust.
  • Step 3: Nestle the steaks into a baking dish atop a bed of fresh acerola cherries and wild oregano. Slide into a 300°F oven for ~11–15 min. I highly recommend using a meat thermometer, because this beef cooks fast. Pull it out at 95°F for a juicy medium-rare steak.
  • Step 4: Remove from the oven and transfer it to a cutting board (with a lip, trust me). Pour the melted cherry-oregano butter right on top, and let it rest for 7 minutes before slicing.

The result is a muscle-building, flavor-packed, collagen-preserving steak that delivers vitamin C, polyphenols—natural antioxidants found in fruits like acerola cherries that help reduce inflammation and support overall health—and rich, satisfying flavor in every bite.
