New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!
My New Roll-Out-Of-Bed Morning Spiritual Practice
In addition to continuing the Spiritual Disciplines Journal with my family in the morning and evening, now that I have just finished an amazing 30 days of morning and evening resilience meditation from PauseApp.com, I am personally shifting for the next 30 days of my morning spiritual disciplines routine to:
- A daily reading from John Eldredge’s journal “Restoration Year”
- Reading the entire chapter of Scripture from the verse at the top of each page in that journal
- Recitation of “The Daily Prayer”
- Finishing by listening to the voice of God in the silence and journaling
I am also going to try something “new” and literally do this as soon as I roll out of bed.
Typically, I do water, stretching, breathwork, etc., then morning spiritual “work,” but I recently learned the brainwaves are most ready for a deep meditative state as soon as you roll out of bed. If you want to join me on the Pause app (and many of my team members are, too) and strap on your daily “spiritual armor,” you can click here.
How I Prepare My Organ Meats (So They Actually Taste Great)
View this post on Instagram
If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know I love US Wellness Meats for high-quality animal protein.
I recently got an influx of meats from them including beef heart, pig liver, beef kidney, and even some heart in there.
However, organ meats can have quite the interesting taste if not prepared properly… but I feel like I’ve really nailed down making organ meats taste good – beyond just doing something like slathering them in bacon fat.
I recently posted this video to Instagram, in which I walk you through my process of a long sous vide (water bath), followed by dredging in egg and some type of gluten-free flour like coconut flour or almond flour, then frying in butter on a cast-iron skillet. It's my favorite way to enjoy the most nutrient-dense food on the planet. And if you like this recipe, check out my cookbook for several other organ meat recipes, along with sous vide steak and salmon.

::: Save 20% On My Favorite Superfood Powders :::
Most people need a green superfood supplement in their life…
…because even if you’re eating healthy, your vegetables can lose a ton of their nutritional value just sitting on the shelf or in the refrigerator for days before you eat them. (Not to mention poor soil quality resulting in less nutritious food in the first place.)
Plus, not all of us have the time or the means to buy and prep as many fresh, organic vegetables and superfoods.
I get it, I'm busy too. That's why I'm such a fan of Organifi's Superfood powders.
Their juice mixes are a quick, easy way to get in dozens of micronutrients and antioxidants, without the time or mess. And best of all, they taste friggen' amazing.
My personal go-to favorite is Organifi's Green Juice, which now comes in a tasty, refreshing “crisp apple” flavor with only 2 grams of sugar. It's jam-packed with 12 different superfoods formulated to help you:
- Balance hormones and lower cortisol
- Aid in hydration with electrolytes and minerals
- Support healthy weight management and reduce food cravings
In fact, if I don't eat a single vegetable all day, I don't sweat it as long as I've had my Green Juice (preferably in the mornings for a nice stress-reliever and energy boost).
So if you're looking for an easy way to get in more nutritious greens and superfoods without breaking the bank or requiring hours of prep each day, Organifi is the way to go.

I love this article as well as the way you share very impressive to me. Let’s keep trying.
Hey Ben! I wanted to share my thoughts related to the exegesis of John 11:25-26 and the question posed in your tweet…
It seems perhaps Jesus was discussing the interconnection of physical and spiritual life. Specifically in the context of those who place trust in Him. Resurrection life (physical life in a new body after death) and eternal life (spiritual life in heaven after death) for those who believe in Him.
Not covered in the context of this scripture is what happens to those who do not place trust in Him. Although the implication from other passages of scripture would be that those who don’t place trust in Him will also live after physical death (resurrection life), but they face eternity apart from Him in hell (no spiritual life). Therefore there’s dual context to “life after death.” The body which resurrects in a new form and the spirit which either faces eternal spiritual life in heaven or eternal spiritual death (cut off from God) in hell.
I also think it’s interesting (if you’ll humor my tangent) to think of this in context of the Jewish sects who both rejected Jesus. That is, the Sadducees and Pharisees. Sadducees rejected Jesus and also rejected the belief in resurrection/eternal life after physical death, while the Pharisees believed in resurrection of the dead/eternal life after physical death, but not in the deity of Christ to receive spiritual life after death.
Great content! And you kept you shirt on!.. kinda. God Bless!
