New Discoveries Of The Week: Cool New Things I'm Trying, Books I'm Reading, And More!

Yoni Sauna Steaming For Ultimate Reproductive Health

Infamously known as a guy who does strange things like coffee enemas and ices his balls, it’s no surprise that I have recently attempted to partake in yoni sauna steaming, too.

And if you don’t know what yoni sauna streaming is, I’m pleased to tell you that even the ladies can get in on this. So, why am I, a man, telling you about vaginal steaming? Well, good news is, anyone can do it. And, incidentally, it is called “lingam” steaming when men do it.

Yoni sauna steaming, also known as vaginal steaming, or, again, when guys do it, “lingam steaming” is an ancient practice that is thought to help in cleansing the vagina and uterus, regulating the menstrual cycle, easing the pain of period cramps and bloating, and aiding in healing following childbirth. This practice of steaming can also help with discomforting issues like painful sex, infertility, pelvic floor issues, changing hormones, constipation, endometriosis, and the emotional pain that comes with it.

This is because the water used for the steaming is chock-full of various herbs like basil (cleansing), lavender (microbial), marigolds (anti-inflammatory), and more. These herbs provide their own unique benefits with tons of healing properties based on what your body needs. It’s 30 minutes of meditative relaxation—all you need to do is sit down on something that looks like a stool or a toilet seat and let it steam.

There are tons of stools readily available online. The “Original Yoni Steam Seat” from Kitara Love is the exact one I have, and it works wonders. I also recently hosted “sexpert” Susan Bratton on my podcast where she discussed yoni steaming even further, if you want to check that out here. Finally, the herbs and teas I have been using are all from the wonderful folks at Kaui Farmacy, and you can learn more about them and why I rely on them for my tea of choice here (and if you want to try it out yourself, you can get 15% off with code GREENFIELD15). Oh, and fellas, just be careful not to burn your balls if you decide to take part in what might be the next trendy biohack, in addition to blue smurf mouth and perineum sunning.

If you can't quite get your head around this practice, I walk you through my lingam steaming routine in this video (and don't worry, it's even kid-friendly).

My Take On A Delicious Bacon-Wrapped Beef Loin Roast

I recently prepared these three beautiful beef loin roasts from US Wellness Meats for my dear mother's birthday, using one of my go-to meat rubs (you'd probably never guess what I used here!).

Essentially, I used a superfood berry blend, a habit of late for cooking/rubbing. One of my favorite meat rub ingredients of all time happens to be Organifi Red Juice Powder, which is a low-sugar blend of superfoods and blood-building compounds like beet, pomegranate, acai, etc. Using this as a rub caramelizes and amplifies the flavor of meat in a significant and surprising way, while neutralizing free radicals and BBQ carcinogens with its built-in natural antioxidants.

So here's how I prepared what turned out to be a really juicy beef loin roast:

1. I laid out the loin roast on a meat rack, dried it off with a paper towel, and rubbed it down with Organifi Red Juice Powder and Ava Jane's Kitchen Colima Sea Salt
2. I then covered the meat with slices of bacon, which creates fat that drips down into the meat and lends a fantastic flavor (great tip for any long smoke or BBQ process)
3. After two hours of smoking at 165 degrees, I finished it with 45 minutes at 400, getting the meat's internal temperature up to about 135 degrees

This was incredibly flavorful! I served it up with some Primal Kitchen's BBQ sauce for an added touch.
